Saudi Arabia Cannot Stand

Just within the past few hours Libya has had a "regime change."  Whether it is now Gaddafi's son who is in power or not, the momentum of change is clearly past the point of no return.

This brings all the North African states, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt, into the same circumstance of throwing out the current rulers.  It is now impossible for Saudi Arabia to remain the way it is.  With a popular revolt successful in Egypt and other popular revolts in the course of success in the Persian Gulf, the Kingdom is holding an umbrella in hopes of warding off a broken dam.

No more than anyone else can I say what will be the outcome of this enormous, world-historic revolutionary outburst, powered by non-violent demonstrations of ordinary citizens.  But I must say, I am dazzled.
